China’s imports and exports grew by 4.7% in the first five months of this year

        Recently, the General Administration of Customs released data showing that in the first five months of this year, China’s total import and export value of 16.77 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.7%. Among them, exports of 9.62 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.1%. The central government introduced a series of policy measures to stabilize the scale and structure of foreign trade, to help foreign trade operators actively respond to the challenges posed by weakening external demand, and effectively capture market opportunities to promote China’s foreign trade to maintain positive growth for four consecutive months.

        From the trade mode, general trade as the main mode of China’s foreign trade, the proportion of imports and exports increased. From the main body of foreign trade, the proportion of private enterprises import and export more than fifty percent. From the main market, China’s imports and exports to ASEAN, the EU have maintained growth.

        China’s foreign trade is expected to achieve the goal of promoting stability and quality, and to make more contributions to the high-quality development of the national economy.
